High speed once again wreaked havoc in Nawada on Tuesday. Two youths died in separate road accidents in the district, while more than a dozen people were injured. The first incident took place near Sikandra village in Mufassil police station area. 35-year-old Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Loharpura village, was hit by a tractor loaded with sand. At the time of the accident, he was going to bring his wife from her in-laws’ house. Sanjay used to work in a private job in Delhi and had returned to Nawada on May 1. But before he could bring his wife, he met with an accident. He died on the spot. There was chaos in the house after the incident. His wife is inconsolable.
The second incident took place near Kosi village in Roh police station area. 25-year-old Ratan Kumar, a resident of Harshitpur village, was returning from the market when his bike was hit by an unknown vehicle. Seriously injured Ratan was first taken to PHC, then referred to Nawada Sadar Hospital, where he died during treatment. Ratan was the only son in his family. The family is completely devastated by the death of the son. There is mourning in the village as well.
