A road accident took place on Patna-Buxar National Highway-922 on Wednesday night. The incident took place near Chanda village when a trailer truck hit a sand laden truck from behind.
The collision was so severe that the front part of the trailer was completely damaged and the driver was seriously injured. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the local people reached the spot and immediately informed the police and ambulance.
The Dial 112 team promptly took the injured driver to Sadar Hospital. Seeing his critical condition, the doctors referred him to a higher center. The injured driver could not be identified till the time of writing the news.
According to the information received, the trailer was carrying sand from Nasriganj and as soon as it reached before the toll plaza near Chanda village, it lost control over its speed and collided with a truck moving slowly ahead. Due to the accident, traffic on the highway was disrupted for some time.
However, as soon as the information was received, Naya Bhojpur’s in-charge police station chief Suman Kumar reached the spot with his team and took stock of the situation. He said that the accident-hit trailer has been taken into custody and the entire matter is being investigated.
