‘Euphoria 3’ episode 2 quick recap
The viral moments from the second episode showed Cassie and Nate fighting over the wedding, specifically what flowers they wanted at the event. This leads to Cassie joining a popular and explicit website to earn money, while Nate is way in over his head with trying to fund his retirement community business, all the while worrying about how to pay off the loan sharks that are after him.
‘Euphoria 3’ season 3 recap: Rue and Jules finally meet
The episode shows Rue starting to work at a strip club to escape Laurie, whom she owes millions of dollars. There, for a while, Rue seems to be happy as she has someone to spend time with and is away from Laurie and her dangerous ways of drug dealing. However, when things fall apart with Angel, the stripper that she’s seeing, she travels away to finally meet Jules. This is the first major interaction between the two since their falling out in season 2.The storyline then explores more into Jules’ life and how she has spent her time within the time jump from season 2 to season 3. On her friend’s prompts to start working as a sex worker, Jules goes on a date with a 48-year-old man. She goes on a number of other dates, before landing with a plastic surgeon who gets obsessed with her body. The two talk about his weird habits and how his wife is well aware of his lifestyle choices. He even ends up convincing her to drop out of art school, something that she had been wishing for since she was in high school. Rue on the other hand, becomes an arms dealer for the owner of the strip club and works with his second-in-command, Bishop.
Cassie and Nate’s marriage
As Jules and Rue meet, the two have a bittersweet meeting. Jules is invited to Nate and Cassie’s wedding, though Rue is the one who gives her money to buy a dress rather than the plastic surgeon who seems to be obsessed with Jules. The wedding processions begin; however, Nate goes missing, which leaves Cassie freaking out about the wedding falling apart. Jules and Cal (Nate’s father, played by the late actor Eric Dane) meet for the first time in years, with Jules asking him, “Remember me.”The most viral moment from this episode comes from the wedding reception that happens afterwards, when Cassie and Nate perform one of the most awkward first dances at any wedding. While Nate shines and smiles bright, keeping up he facade, Cassie is a mix of chaos, smiling yet crying as she tells her newlywed husband that she does not want to be poor.Another surprising point comes when Rue is shown calling Fez, played by the late Angus Cloud who passed away before the filming of season 3 began), revaling that he is in prison, and then repeating his side of the conversation citing that he is planning on escaping jail using parkour.
Nate and Cassie’s fate goes downwards as loan sharks attack them
After all of the damage control at their wedding, Nate and Cassie are confronted about the USD 500 K loan that Nate owes. Cassie gets her nose broken on her wedding day, while Nate gets beaten up and tortured. Though things are about to get a lot worse for the two of them.
