Citroen India today finally launched the new Citroen e-C3X electric in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 1.74 lakh lower than its predecessor. The company is also offering the 2026 eC3X with an optional Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan that lowers the vehicle’s purchase price to Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage is charged at Rs 2.26 per km. Interested customers can book the EV online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon. The Citroen eC3X receives revisions to its exterior and interior, along with additional convenience features, and now also gets more range. It is offered in three variants – Live, Live (O) and Shine. The electric hatchback competes with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet in the Indian market. Talking about the battery first, the 2026 eC3X continues to get a 29.2kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed MIDC-certified driving range of 325km – an improvement of 79km over the previous version. Drive is sent to the front wheels through an electric motor rated at 57hp and 143Nm. The EV can accelerate from 0-60kph in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 107kph. The eC3X supports both AC and DC charging options. A full charge from 10 per cent to 100 per cent takes 10 hours and 30 minutes using an AC charger, while a DC fast charger can raise the battery level from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 57 minutes.

The 2026 eC3X gains several features and design updates, including projector LED headlamps, new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and power-folding, electrically adjustable ORVMs. It retains the V-shaped LED DRLs, LED tail-lamps, body cladding, wheel-arch mouldings, halogen fog lamps and skid plate-style bumper inserts.The cabin now features a dual-tone blue-and-beige colour scheme and leatherette seat upholstery, while the dashboard layout remains unchanged. New additions include a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charger, dashcam and a six-speaker JBL audio system. The dashcam and JBL setup are available as accessories.Safety features include six airbags on the top variant and four airbags on lower trims. Existing equipment, such as the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual air-conditioning, rear wiper, and reverse parking camera with sensors, has been carried forward.
