MUMBAI: Former India and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has undergone a scan to assess the severity of a suspected hamstring injury, TOI has learnt. His availability for MI’s next match against Punjab Kings on Thursday in Mumbai will depend on the results.“Yes, Rohit underwent an MRI on Monday morning (at the HL Reliance Hospital) to determine the extent of his hamstring injury. If the results don’t look good, he may even miss a couple of matches. The scan results will come by today evening,” a source close to the developments told TOI.

The 38-year-old retired hurt during MI’s 18-run loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
